Our History Leadership

JCI Kakinada Port, established in 1992 under the guidance of JCI Hyderabad with Jc Sama Bhaskar as its Charter President, is one of the most dynamic and impactful Local Organizations (LOs) under JCI India. Since its inception, the Local Organization has been committed to empowering young leaders through meaningful training, community development, and business networking—anchored in the core values of Junior Chamber International.

Over three decades, JCI Kakinada Port has created a powerful legacy of leadership, nurturing individuals who have gone on to serve in prominent positions at the Zone, National, and International levels. The Local Organization proudly produced four JCI India Zone Presidents:

  • 2003 – Jc CA E S H Mohan
  • 2019 – JFS Jc T Jyothi Sridhar
  • 2022 – JFS Jc Anirudh Sistla
  • 2025 – JFP Jc A Santosh Siva Kumar

 

Among its most decorated members is JFS Jc Anirudh Sistla, who has served in numerous national and international capacities, including as JCI Vice President (2024) and Chairperson of the JCI ESG Committee (2025).

The Local Organization has also been home to award-winning members like Jc Jyothi Sridhar, recipient of multiple Outstanding Awards including Outstanding Zone President and Outstanding Trainer – Ravi Puraskar. Jc Anirudh Sistla has been recognized at the highest levels, winning accolades such as Outstanding Local President (2015), Outstanding Zone President (2022), and Outstanding JCI Vice President (2024).

Our Impactful Journey

From the early years, training and community development have been the pillars of the Local Organization. JCI Kakinada Port has delivered several high-impact projects aligned with national goals and global frameworks such as the UNMDGs and UNSDGs:

  • 2014:Clean India Drive and mosquito net distribution
  • 2015:Samadhan – Construction of 4 toilet blocks in ZP High School, reducing dropout rates among girl students
  • 2016:Suraksha – Installation of sanitary napkin incinerators in schools
  • 2017:Sujal – Installation of water purifiers in rural schools
  • 2018 onwards: Projects aligned with UNSDGs like hunger eradication, water security, cattle welfare, and more

A Hub for Leadership & Growth

With a strong current membership of 107 active members, primarily entrepreneurs and professionals, the Local Organization fosters leadership by offering roles as Project Chairpersons, LO Officers, and through active participation in initiatives like JCOM (Jaycees Chamber of Commerce). Members also contribute to society through impactful training sessions under the guidance of certified Zone and National Trainers.

The Local Organization actively partners with schools, colleges, and private stakeholders to run development programs like Empowering Youth and Future Readiness sessions, preparing the next generation for leadership.


Milestones & Celebrations

In 2018, JCI Kakinada Port celebrated its 25th Anniversary with 25 community service projects, each reaching at least 25 beneficiaries. The Local Organization has hosted numerous prestigious events over the years, including:

  • LOTS (LO Officers Training Seminar)
  • AOS (Awards Orientation Seminar)
  • MIDCONs, ZGBs, Trainers Update sessions
  • And most notably, Zone Conferences in 2022 and 2024

The JCI Alumni Club (JAC) of JCI India is a vibrant community of graduates committed to creating positive change locally and beyond. As the supporting organization for JCI, JAC plays a key role in making the movement more relevant to today’s youth while connecting esteemed Alumni of JCI and nurturing the growth of the JCI community.

JCOM – Jaycees Chamber of Commerce

JCOM is the business area of opportunity of JCI India, designed exclusively for JCI members, alumni, and entrepreneurs.
